Syapse Named One of Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies

By Ken Tarkoff

We are proud to announce that Syapse has been named a 2018 World’s Most Innovative Company by Fast Company. We are one of a select few companies in the world to receive this honor. This award is a testament to our incredible team — rarely have I seen a group of people so dedicated to such a worthwhile mission of creating a future in which all cancer patients have access to the best precision care.

It is also a testament to the health systems we work with — such as Providence St. Joseph, Aurora Healthcare, Catholic Health Initiatives, Dignity Health, Intermountain Healthcare and Henry Ford Health System — who are actually delivering the care to the community, as well as our partners, like Roche and Medidata, who play an integral role in the oncology ecosystem, focused on improving cancer care outcomes for patients all around the world.

To me, innovation in healthcare technology means taking a different approach to solving a consequential problem. For Syapse, that problem is cancer, and specifically, how to bring the best treatments to cancer patients. Precision medicine, in many cases, offers an effective solution — but our healthcare industry is not set up to advance it at scale.

We are trying to change this dynamic. We are bringing together multiple providers, molecular diagnostic labs, life sciences companies, payers, and technology companies to provide the most value to the physician at the point of care. We are also fortunate to have a team who, every day, thinks creatively about solving problems big and small. I’m honored to work with them and excited to see what we accomplish next.
